What are these marks on my product

We appreciate wood in its unique natural form, which always has individual character traits and thus makes our products unique and unique. Small branch holes or darker veining are perfectly normal. The diverse wood grains and natural color deviations are a proof of the authenticity of our products and testify to the highest quality – no mistake. Where are your products manufactured? Is it really in Germany?

Yes, our products are made in Germany, we want to be sure of what we produce, and this is the wood from which our products are made, and the product itself, the packaging, the production conditions, etc. As a result, Craman's products are quality assured and environmentally friendly . We are responsible for our product. If you don't like something, write to us info@craman.de and we will solve your question promptly

How can I clean my items?

In our product range, we offer both untreated wood items and those with an oil coating. When untreated wood products come into contact with water, there may be a slight raising of fibers on the wood surface. This is not a defect but a normal reaction of the wood. In this case, you can address this issue by smoothing the affected area with sandpaper (grit P150-P200). Alternatively, you can also request a care kit from us. A similar reaction may occur with products treated with oil, but it happens less frequently.

What type of wood is used?

Our wood comes exclusively from sustainably managed forests in Europe.

We use oak and beech wood.

The type of wood used in the products we sell is certified according to the FSC™ standard. By purchasing products with FSC™ certification, you contribute to the responsible use of global forest resources. FSC™ achieves this on the one hand by setting and verifying ecological and social standards in forestry and on the other hand by considering recycled materials that can be used in FSC™-certified products.

We are pleased that with this step we can take even more responsibility for our forests and resources and document their use transparently.

Are there roughnesses appearing on your wooden molds? The Care.

The cookie molds are coated with linseed oil, which protects the wood. Changes in humidity can lead to roughening of the wood surface, especially after washing the molds. This phenomenon is related to the natural properties of wood and its reaction to changes in the environment. After washing the molds, they should be dabbed with a paper towel and dried, after which they can be coated with a vegetable oil (for example, sunflower or linseed oil). To restore the original appearance of the mold, it can also be sanded in its dried state with a fine-grained abrasive of grit 180-220, after sanding coat again with oil, and the mold will be like new.

Personalization

When placing an order on our website, you can add personalization for any Craman product. Enter the desired engraving text in the "Customization" field (name, date of birth, short wish, etc.), and we will apply it to your order. Depending on the length of the text, we choose the appropriate place for engraving ourselves. The free engraving on the stacking games is done on one of the figures. (examples)

Important Product Information and Care Instructions

Please note that each product is unique, and the texture and color of the wood may vary slightly. Due to moisture and temperature, oak wood may occasionally exhibit slight deformations or cracks. Natural knots and cracks may also be present in the wood, which is completely normal and adds to the uniqueness of each piece.

Usage Limitations:

  • This product is not suitable for outdoor use.
  • Do not leave the hook on a hot battery for an extended period, as the wood may dry out, crack, and break at high temperatures. This can cause issues especially in areas where the wood is glued.

Care Recommendations:

  • Monitor the wood surface over time. If necessary, treat it with linseed oil or other suitable oils to maintain its appearance and durability.
  • Avoid dropping the hooks on hard surfaces such as ceramic tiles, concrete, etc., as this can cause cracking or breakage, including in areas where the wood is glued. This is natural for wood and not a defect.

Material Information:

  • Our clothing hooks and other wood products are made from natural oak or beech wood. The inherent characteristics of these woods mean that each piece will have its own unique appearance and behavior.

Additional Tips:

  • Regularly check the condition of the hooks and reapply oil treatment as needed to ensure longevity.
  • When cleaning, use a dry or slightly damp cloth. Avoid using harsh chemicals or soaking the wood in water.

Oiled Wood Surfaces

  1. Regular Cleaning:

    • Use a soft, slightly damp cloth to remove dust and dirt.
    • Avoid harsh cleaning agents as they can damage the wood.
  2. Refreshing the Oil Layer:

    • Apply a new layer of oil every 6 to 12 months to maintain the protective effect.
    • Use a high-quality wood oil that is food-safe if the wood is used in the kitchen.
    • Apply the oil evenly with a soft cloth or brush and allow it to absorb for a few hours. Wipe off any excess oil.
  3. Protection from Moisture and Heat:

    • Ensure that the wood is not exposed to prolonged moisture or direct heat.
    • Use coasters and placemats to prevent water stains and heat damage.

Untreated Wood Surfaces

  1. Regular Cleaning:

    • Dust the wood regularly with a dry, soft cloth.
    • For stubborn stains, a slightly damp cloth can be used, but avoid excessive moisture.
  2. Protection from Stains:

    • Avoid contact with liquids, as untreated wood can absorb them quickly, leading to stains.
  3. Optional Treatment:

    • If desired, untreated wood can be subsequently treated with oil, wax, or varnish to make it more resistant.
    • Ensure the wood is thoroughly cleaned and dried before treatment.

How much does shipping cost?

How can I arrange a return?

Yes, you can return products within 30 days from the date of purchase. Personalized products cannot be returned. However, we are ready to provide any support for these products if you encounter any difficulties with them.

The customer bears the cost of the return, unless the delivered product does not match the order or is defective. In this case, we will refund the shipping costs.

We undertake to process returns quickly. Once we have received the returned product and checked its condition, we will begin the refund or exchange process.
